Valdoxan® awarded the prize “Most Innovative Product of the Year 2009” in Germany

The prize “Most Innovative Product of the Year” is awarded for the product perceived by physicians to be the most innovative in their speciality. To select the winners, 1500 physicians of different specialities took part in an independent survey, hosted by the journal PharmaBarometer and conducted by market research agency MEFOS.
The results were made public in a dedication ceremony in the Deutsches Museum, Munich, on 15th September 2009: Valdoxan (agomelatine) was awarded the prize “Most Innovative Product of the Year 2009” in psychiatry/neurology.
This prize acknowledges the contribution of Servier to the area of neuroscience, and especially the identification of a new and different approach to the treatment of depression by the restoration of circadian rhythms, which are disturbed in depressed patients. This allows Valdoxan to offer patients improvement as early as the first week, and powerful antidepressant efficacy over the course of treatment.
